Our Bronze Hints Turkey's are produced to the highest standards well known at Barts Barn Farms. The HintsBronze Turkey's are fed on natural foods containing no additives or growth promoters. They are matured for seven to ten days to enhance the flavour.

The black feather stubs found on our Bronze Turkey's are one certain way to recognise a real turkey - there can be no imitations because a HintsBronze Turkey's can only be traditionally reared on our farm. You will find stubs shrivel during cooking.

Once you have tasted a Hints Turkey you will never want an ordinary reared Turkey again.

Please make sure you receive the certificate ensuring that the turkey comes from Barts Barn Farm the home of Hints Bronze Turkey's.

Situated in Burntwood, Staffordshire has been growing fruit since 1975. This farm has been in the Hodson-Walker family since 1954 although generations of the family have been farming in the local area. Coulter Lane Farm grows on 'perfect' soil for fruit, light and free draining. The best of traditional farming methods are used with the latest of technology and the best certified plant stock to grow strawberries that have both flavour and appearance.

A variety of natural methods are used to encourage early fruit and also to delay it, by covering the plants with fleece to burying the plant in deep straw. Where possible natural predators are encouraged to overcome pests, and bees are used for pollination of the fruit.

We pride ourselves on conservation and in recent years have created ponds, planted trees and re introduced hedges aswell as being the first farm in Staffordshire to re-introduce Cannock Chase heathland back onto the land.

Catering

Cannock Professional catering companies offer a wide choice of set menus and charge per head. Where absolutely possible if using a hotel eat a meal within your chosen hotel & restaurant to determine the quality. Write a thoughts list at the table of: the food and the standard of service . Or, if you are employing outside caterers, get samples of their food before you order

You should be able to vary set menus to suit you. NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND. You may well find it will be less work for their staff..

You may want to have the & quote;cutting of the cake& quote; before the meal. Beneficial if you want it served as a dessert course.

Outside Caterers

Not all Cannock, Birmingham, or West Midland Hotels will allow you choose outside caterers, so you may choose your favourite restaurant or village hall, but I suggest not, what you like is NOT what someone else likes. The food is the only time you should look to please everyone.

Negotiate a deal with your venue for a higher or even lesser hire charge if you arrange the outside catering yourself make sure you arrange at least 2 quotes.. Outside caterers can provide a marquee in your back garden so give them a ring, nothing ventured nothing gained..
